Melanie joined ASB in 2014 as Head of Strategic Partnerships for Corporate, Commercial and Rural. The Strategic Partnership practice supports the Bank to create new collaboration opportunities, drive new operating models and deliver valued outcomes for their people and customers.
Melanie’s career started in the entrepreneurial world as CEO of a UK start-up in the energy sector, at age 23. She then went on to be part of the founding team and Joint Venture Lead for a successfully floated technology business, on the London Stock Exchange in 2000. On her return to NZ, Melanie was appointed to the role of CEO of a New Zealand start-up First Rate, funded by Angel Investors. Melanie has since transitioned to the ‘Corporate world’ holding senior roles at EY, IBM and now ASB.
